Desert Sky Builders™ builds in Las Cruces, Sunland Park and Anthony while capable of serving the Southern New Mexico areas. Our Realty Company, Desert Star Realty, sales staff can help you find property or assist you in having a home built on your private land. Desert Sky Builders™ can build homes according to pre-drawn plans, modified plans or help you customize you plans. The builder, with additional certifications and education in appraising, project management and Real Estate is able to apply that knowledge when building a home which in turn is an asset for the new homeowners especially when it comes to knowing which home elements will appraise the most in a shortest period of time. This education and certifications become an advantage and an asset in resolving the client’s most challenging questions.

After selecting Desert Sky Builders™ to build your new home, there will be appointments with the color coordinator (designer) and the builder. Whether you have already purchased your lot or would like help from our Real Estate Company, Desert Star Realty, we are happy to help in selecting the best lot for you since there are some important guidelines to follow in building in the Southern New Mexico area, especially with the positioning of the sunlight and your backyard. After you decide which home site and home design best suits your needs, you meet with the Builder to locate the best building location on your lot. After you have finalized all considerations, your home is staked out on the site, followed by a meeting with the builder to review the layout and make any changes for the optimum advantage with respect to views, lighting conditions and lot characteristics. Since we believe in the preservation of the natural desert vegetation, all grading is done after you have chosen the exact layout of the home.

The next step is making your color selections with our designer, Joy Akers. After all options, selections and customizations are done, the completed working drawings are then submitted for to the City or County for approval. This is the beginning of the Project which allows you sit back and relax while we do the rest. You’ll still be called upon for approving creative designs or choices which are part of the project until it’s finished. With a Project Control Path Matrix, you’ll be able to follow along with the construction process and feel comfortable knowing the stages of building your home.
